    Default Glovebox

My glove box no longer glides down of it own accord, I have to pull it down myself and then I can hear the "woosh" noise from the pnuematic parts.

Is this a cheap thing to rectify or is it down to overuse and being taken out too many times

    Cheers

I've just had to repair mine today, the wife pulled the door down & pulled something out of the damper. It just dropped down on it's own.

What I did was remove glovebox, remove damper then prised retaining cover off. Found that the seal that gives resistance had come away from the rod.
It is only on a balljoint so I superglued it on.
Put back together & seems ok.
Priced this damper with the dealers........£14

I think the circled part could be at fault, it's a piston type thing. Easy to replace:-
