I am thinking of getting an insignia to replace vectra c. Any issues with DPF, electric handbrake, electric tailgate?

Iv had no problems with mine and its just sailed through its first mot
no worries here either..
Some of the earlier cars can be riddled with problems which do include dpf problems but it's not as common as some would have you believe.
The e.handbrake seems to be ok on them and I can't think of hearing of any faults with them. It's not uncommon for rear brakes to become squeaky though and if the cars still under warrenty normally VX will replace them.
The electric tailgate is subject to a recall at the moment as the supporting strut (not the one that does the lifting) can be weak causing the lid to fall or not go right up. Make sure any car you buy with this has had or gets the recall done
I've had mine for two years in Novemeber and covered 16k (50/50 town/motorway driving) and touch wood I've had no problems with the dpf.
The electronic parking brake works like a dream, no fault with it, I would like it on my next car as well.
I heard quite a few people complain about their dpf, but not as a much as I thought it would be. Mine is a petrol so I have no experience with dpf. I heard if the EGR clogs up, it can cause the dpf to clog up as well.
On the vec c however the EGR is troublesome, so with the addition of dpf in the insignia, I have opted for petrol.
Never had problems with either of my insignias I just couldn't get on with the last one, I must change the picture in profile now I think of it lol.
only thing so far was the boost control valve making farting noises, this is common and easily fixed(15mins)cost for gen part £44)keep away from stealers as they will want around £80.EPB should not be troublesome as long as you use it a few times a week.ref, the DPF,as long as you give the car a quick run now and then it should get to the required temperature and clear itself out.
