Still £35 fitted, not bad for 5-6k miles
The rears have loads of life left in them too
£35 for 6000 miles
As a short-term replacement, cheap enough
Certainly value for money, wonder how they compare if you fitted them new to rear and then rotated to the front
I've got the standard bridgestones from factory on the front and I just got it serviced. The mechanic said i still have 2mm before the need changing, which isn't bad for 19,930 miles.
Anyone recommend some nice shoes to fit when these go?, was gonna swap front to rear an change rears.
Stick with what you've got, by the sounds of it!
http://www.tyre-shopper.co.uk is being recommended at the moment
National Tyres by the back door!
I used them for a few yrs purely from a price point thing, they normally last around 10-13k and have the roadholding of a marble, also been rebranded as Roadstone 2000's now as well so don't get caught out again, I know it's not only me because someone else I know has then on his Omega, and after having them fitted he remarked how poor they were and never again, I've splashed out on a pair of Hankook's this time, ok they were £20 each more, but the tyre ppl assure me I will get similar wear and handling to the Turanzas that came with the car, another one I will say are good a Klieber, iirc they are a cheaper version of either a Michelin or Continental, and owned by one of these two companies.
And also I can't see who sold them for £25 each, I've never paid less than £55 each including fitting, and they were 16's.

Thanks VV Glad its not just me that thought how poor they are!
I hear ATS are doing b.o.g.o.f at the moment, worth getting some new shoes now and get a top of the range pair for half price!!
Just wondering what typical tyre wear figures people get
Bought my vec sri 150 when it had done 5k miles- still oe tyres obviously
changed the fronts at 20k and again at 45k
Backs are still oe, good at 45k for another 10 i'd say
so, 20-25k for fronts, 50 to 60k for the rears?
Quite pleased actually
