it does, but they do grind now because of no asbestos in the pads make-up..so be prepared for the universal cover all.....' but they all do that'...

Interestingly, since I replaced the rear discs and pads (OEM) pads at the recent 'workshop meet', my rears haven't grinded at all!! Used to always grind a bit when first driven in the morning - especially when reversing off the drive.

Now, nothing - quiet as a mouse!

Just due to the new pads & discs, D? Mine never used to, but have started recently - same as yours, reversing off the drive in the morning.

Yep, eliminated due purely to new discs and pads. I didn't do any fiddling with the calipers or anything - no more than needed to change the discs and pads.

just the same as i am getting (reversing off my drive) but also at slow speed braking. booked into vx marshalls Leicester tomorrow as network Q runs out end of april, had the front discs and pads done about 3 months ago so i think it will need the rear doing by now.

they charged you £55 just to tell you that. Thats outrageous. My rear brakes like many others have always grinded, just learned to live with it now.

Had my Gsi checked last week at vx, only grinding on offside rear when braking a low speed, they said nowt wrong but they removed some stone chips from pads it was a little quieter for about 3 days now its back. How can they say "they all do that" when it's just one side? I also get more wind noise from the offside and a dull rumble which sounds a bit like the engine room of the old starship Enterprise. Also from the offside, This gets louder when fully loaded.
I did get the air recirculate flap motor under the glovebox done under network Q though. I love the car to bits I just want it right.
