Default Sat in a New Vectra Today

    Hi all

Went to Vauxhall to get me some nice new Bridgestone tyres today. Whilst waiting around for the 2 hours it took (!) I sat in the facelift veccy they had in. It seemed a low spec model, was de-badged and the "saturday salesmen" didn't know.

    * No lip spoiler on boot
    * Pretend alloy wheels you've probably all heard about look cheap and taccy.

Have to say overall it has a more boring look, definitly so with the new headlights, a lot less aggressive. Hopefully it was the lowest of the low and the Sxi / SRi versions will have a bit more about them.

They might all look the same but trust me it will grow on you.

Off topic but sort of relevent:-

We went to Millbrook for a prelaunch of the C, drove various engines - 1.8, 2.2, 2.2tdi (curiously all LHD), and did not like them at all. LHD does'nt help, but they were "plasticky" and ungainly to drive.

However when the car was actually released it was totally different - better put together, finish & better handling. I could not believe the difference. Vx did temselves no favours in rushing these cars out to drive before they were ready.

We took a Zaf GSI round both tracks and it was awesome, we got told off for "going a bit quickly", but well who wouldn't?

    I agree with Ceejay.

better and better the more i saw them.
Def pref. it over the "old" one now ...

I Totally agree with that post,

Still not sure about the "family" look, it looks good on the Astra, but the Veccy just looks like an Astra with a fat 4rse
