    Default Alarm Proximity

I'm informed the vec c is supposed to have proximity sensors on the alarm, is this correct?

went to try mine today, by standing next to it for 1minute, then walking round the car for 1minute, then I washed the car with the alarm on and it didnt go off then I tried walking round it while the window was open, still nothing, it only eventually went off when I put my arm inside the car, thus the interior sensors and not the proximity sensors were picking me up. does this mean my car doesnt have proximity sensors on the alarm? (btw its a 05 Energy)

just another quick Q to save another topic: before when I wanted to open my boot, even with the car unlocked fully, the boot was still locked and either the button on the door or the button on the key had to be pressed to unlock it, now though, when I unlock the car, the boot unlocks itself too, so I needent (sp) use the key or door button, thus, what then is the point in having a boot unlock button on the door?? and why has my car suddenly started doing this??

    any gen mucho appreciated guys

    Default

There is no proximity alarm on the car to warn people off from standing near the car, only the internal ultrasonics.

The boot stays locked unless unlocked via the fob or with the door button, or if you double click the unlock button (and unlock all doors) with the fob. The boot will only remain unlocked for about 5 minutes or until the vehicle drives off before relocking, so you would have to unlock it again. Even if all doors are unlocked the boot will still secure itself after 5 mins as a security feature.
