    Default Vulf's V6 CDTI

After reading through some extensive threads from some of the guys on here I decided I would start my own little thread, get some opinions and advice as I go through my modding.
I've modded cars thoughout my time driving, started with a little 1.6 Escort Finess, modded a bit before the lack of power annoyed me
    Attachment 103363Attachment 103364Attachment 103365Attachment 103367
I did enjoy the car but decided to get a 2.0 Hyundai Coupe as a replacement. Went like stink, modded with a turbo and racing flywheel combo. Unfortunately it got broken into more times than I was left due to pillar-less door windows and the rough area I lived in. I then started to work 80+ miles per day and the fuel was killing me, so got my first vectra, 2004 Sri 120 in blue. (No Pics)
After the Vectra the wife liked the idea of a Corsa so we swapped the Vec for a 1.3d ecoflex. That didn't last long.
We picked up a few other cars on the way, 1.9t Passat, Clio Sport, and finally my previous Vectra, a 2004 Dti
    Attachment 103372Attachment 103373Attachment 103374Attachment 103375
Did quite a few mods on the Dti, sprayed my own Sri headlights, HID mod, some LEDs and new wheels, but was given a company car with a new job (Nissan Juke) so the Vec was sold.
After I changed jobs and started working more locally, I picked up the beast that was the RX8
    Attachment 103376Attachment 103377Attachment 103378Attachment 103379
I absolutely loved the car, spent a small fortune on the aesthetics including full Mazdaspeed Aero body kit, Uprated coils and spark plugs, Uprated starter motor etc, but low compression started and we couldn't afford a rebuild.
We sold the rx8 and after months of searching I found the right car, the right engine and the right trim in the right colour. My current vectra 3.0 cdti v6 elite.
    She was completely standard when I picked her up, so far I've done;
    Dmf
    Clutch
    Slave cylinder
    Master cylinder
    Assorted clutch pipes
    Suction control valves
    Sri rear bumper
    Vxr insert
    Tail pipes changed
    Parking sensors
    Parrot kit
    Colour coded front V

My gear linkage cable snapped 2 weeks ago, so as I'm waiting on the parts and funds I've taken apart the headlights to spray black like the SRis.
    Mods I'm hoping to do this year;
    Repaint rear bumper
    Rear bumper valance
    Front bumper splitter (irmscher)
    Headlight eyebrows
    Tint whites of rear lights
    Colour code rear chrome strip
    Debadge rear
    Adjustable suspension
    Vxr rep alloys
New dpf-back system with no boxes
    Vxr side skirts
    Headlight washer retro fit
    DRLs
    Hybrid turbo
    Egr/dpf delete
    Remap
Hoping to keep this thread alive with more mods as time goes on. I'm planning on buying another RX8 as a track car in the future so the vectra will be an ideal day car

    Cheers guys thank you.
Spent the last 2 days modifying the headlights. Over the moon with the results!
    Had the chrome before
    uploadfromtaptalk1435268726784.jpg
Opened them with a dremel as my heat gun packed in, was dead easy though
    uploadfromtaptalk1435268761767.jpg
Sprayed them up with some plasticote which I can highly recommend. Took24 hours to dry hard but it won't chip or peel on chrome.
Once it had dried i attached the innards back into the headlights, cleaned out all the inside and cleaned the inside and out of the plastic part of the headlight assembly, and used tiger seal to reseal.
Only took 4 hours for the tiger seal to go off but I've left masking take on to give it extra support whilst it fully cures.
    uploadfromtaptalk1435268898589.jpg
Apologies for the poor quality, stuck them in tonight and I'm over the moon with the results of the headlights and grill
    uploadfromtaptalk1435268935500.jpg
I'll take a better one tomorrow
Next on the list is to colour code the rear strip, fit my gear selector cables and paint the calipers

Overall chuffed with the result. Not bad for a cheap and effective mod.
Just cleaning out the inlet manifold at the moment as it's filthy

Been a week or so since I update. Cleaned out my throttle body and egr valve. Not 100% clean but compared to before its night and day

Sorted my gear linkage cables yesterday too. Wasn't too difficult but is in a really hard to reach place, and it's difficult to guide the new cables through the tunnel to the gear stick.
As it's getting MOTed tomorrow morning I decided to sort out an issue I had with my rear bumper. Had it in the back garden waiting to dry when the mini hurricane hit. Picked it up and tossed it across the garden into a stone fence post!
Left with a crack on one side, and a huge graze and chip on the other side.
Looks like a full respray to fix it, so gonna source a replacement in my colour from the scrappers instead, hopefully with the xp/vxr diffuser
