That looks like normal to me, mine does it after a few weeks to as the water sticks to the dirt. As soon as it's cleaned it beads off properly again. Try using Sonax extreme detailer is works wonders and protects for ages even after washing. Apply it after the wax

Well 6 days into my 2 week off, and I was finally allowed to wash my car yesterday, and only because it was my 30th birthday so she had no choice
Still love how this car looks!
    Was a bit dirty...

But it's come up a treat, Wax doing its job!

Wheels need a refurb next year, along with my plans for a VXR front bumper, rear bumper xp spoiler and VXR boot spoiler. Might treat myself to the Maxton design roof one too

Well it's been a while since I've posted, busy with a lot of personal things Until recently, but I'm back!
First wash since October, and the layering of wax has massively helped, looks like new

    Apologies for the poor picture.
On other news, the vectra won't be in my possession for much longer I'm sad to say. The wife will inherit it in June due to some unexpected news, another baby on the way!
But she's requested original suspension and wheels to make it less bone shattering, so the JOMS will be coming off and I'll be selling the 19" VXR alloys.
    Watch this space I guess!
I'll still be sticking around though as I still want to finish it as a project

Well I had a very bad week this week with the Vectra ... It must know it's going.
Full blowout on the A1 at around 80mph.
I'm getting the company car Wednesday so working local/from home until then. Need to get this fixed soon though so I can actually sell the car

Well the blown tyre spurred on my company management, and I picked this up XD
It's gorgeous to drive, but means the vectra is definitely going to be up for sale soon.
Ordered 4 brand new tyres for it, so it'll be advertised soon

In a twist to this story, it turns out, without going into detail, that I'm not getting what I was promised from the promotion. This along with getting headhunted from a company for a new job, means the Audi is going back and I'll be back in the Vectra!
I'm quite excited if I'm honest, because as much as the Audi is lovely and drives well, I've been doing 5-8 hours driving per day in it, so it's lost its charm.
I have many plans with the vec now, even considering swapping/trading towards a petrol model, maybe the 2.0 turbo or even saving for a VXR. Either way, the customisation is back on the table with lots to do to it!

So I finally go round to sorting out the cambelt! Should of been an easy job but my brother released the spring in the tensioner which took about an hour extra on the job to sort out. Drove to Sheffield and back today and all is well! Eyebrows will be painted soon, then onto front and rear xp spoilers

So it's been a while for another update on my Vectra and I figure it's about time.
So a lot of personal stuff has changed recently, including finding out my new son is deaf, applying for a mortgage, changing jobs, and traveling to Germany every other month to see my daughter. So with all this, money has been extremely tight and the Vectra has been completely neglected.
The shocks are knackered, I have had 2 brand new tyres go on the motorway due to pot holes, and I'm about fed up with it.
I'm at a complete crossroads with it, with my head saying I should sell it, and get something more economical and sensible. But the other side says I should change the shocks for some SRI ones, give the car a full clean and continue with my plans for it.
It's difficult to decide properly at the moment and things may change in the future with out situation, meaning I either regret selling it or regret not selling it.
I've seen a few Citroen C4 VTRs around for less than a grand, and they do 60mpg combined instead of my current 34mpg. I don't know. It's not easy this car lark when you've fallen in love with a car.
The likes of Newboy, RichM and Brady make me want to continue down this path, and the lovely V6 noise is a comfort I would miss. Who knows
