Looking to get a foam attachment for the hose and am wondering what to use in the gun? Is it just your shampoo, I use Megs NXT (the blue one). The Gilmour looks a bit expensive at nearly £50 but a few guys have mentioned the Superspray on DW. Cheers rushy.

superspray gives good results for the money from what i've heard. i've got the gilmour and it is a good bit of kit. i used to use just a squirt of megs hyperwash, but i bought a gallon of DW's snowstorm and that seems to foam up alot more. i still use a squirt of megs hyperwash for its cleaning abilities.

maybe keep an eye out for someone selling a gilmour second hand, cleanandshiny are now stocking their own foam gun for pressure washers, they might do a special promo in the near future (just a guess) and if that;s the case you might see people selling their gilmours.

just to add, in the gilmour i add an inch or so of snowstorm and a squirt of hyperwash, then fill it with warm water. not sure if that will be the same for the superspray

On DW there's a thread on the superspray,if your water pressure is ok its good.I went for it because knowing thames water they'll put the usual hosepipe ban in soon and as its only a tenner i didn't mind not using it for 6 months.Autobrite do supersnow foam, its £11+vat for 5ltrs, even cheaper in larger quantities.

My superspray turned up,so had a quick play, only put in 1/4 inch in the bottle, it defiantly made washing easier. Not bad for something the cost of a pizza.

Well th SAFEST ones are either the Gilmore or this one: -

That's what I use, it can be bought for £15 from Halfords or on DW there will be loads around for peanuts from the guys who have bought guns & lances, was given one for free just this week which means I have 3 Karcher bottles into which I put AG Powermax3 or a combination of shampoos'

What do you mean by safest bryan? Is that the standard Karcher attachment or a specialist one made for the Karcher. Must say I am impressed with the effect the Gilmour gives but at nearly £50 I think I can give it a miss.

it's standard karcher equipment Rushy, you'll be able to pick it up at your local Halfords.

i'm also curious Bryan, what do you mean the safest?
