19" Wheels and Tyre Pressures - From the GM Vectra Manual
For the benefit of those members who rely on their local garage to supply the recommended tyre pressures for 19" Wheels, here are the details in the car's handbook provided by Vauxhall / Opel
Look at the differences. There is not a single reference to anything less than 38 PSI on the front and 33 PSI on the rear for the lighter engined vehicles partially laden, rising to 41 PSI on the front and 48 PSI fully laden.
Move over to the YZ19DTH or the Z32SE engines and these rise to 44 PSI on the front and 39 on the rear for partially laden cars and 46 PSI on the fronts and 51 PSI on the rears when fully laden.
Then re-think why you may get damaged alloys with lower pressures in your tyres
Here is the information straight from the handbook.

I don't have a manual showing the 2.8 engine Baz, but I can't seriously imagine it being any different to the 1.9 diesel or 3.2 petrol so until you can see / read a manual which shows this, I would treat it the same as the Y/Z19DTH or Z32SE mate.
BUT, you should check with what is actually recommended for 19" wheels in the manual for the Vxr

I'd change the tyre size to 235/35/19.
are these PSI hot or cold? Does it make a difference if tyres are XL or not?

With apologies, sorry for the typo, I'll see if @Leemarksmith can edit the tyre size for YZ19DTH / Z32SE to 235/35/19
There is no mention of "Hot or Cold" tyres or XL in the manual so I assume "Cold" would be the intended Vx advice.
As for XL, simply capable of a sustained higher loading at speed so no real difference IMHO.

Edited...
I'm on 225/35 and still run F46 & R42, will up the rear once the builds done. Although my front drivers is going down again. I'm never powder coating wheels again, paint only from now on...

Yes, all quoted pressures are cold. My manual says 39psi front and 35psi rear for my 1.9CDTI with 19" snowflakes. I tend to run with 41front and 38 rear Worth bearing in mind that tyre pressure increases as the car is driven as much as 3/4 psi on the driving wheels.
VX fit XL tyres at the factory if 19£ snowflakes are fitted.
