Default need help with a question?

been speaking to pimm this evening, and we got chatting about the 19"alloys on our cars and both discoverd we suffer from wheel wobble at about 50/60mph?,remember reading something about this but couldn't remember where?any help would be greatly appriciated as it is annoying us both,i think its something you can get from vauxhall when 19's are fitted, any parts and there numbers will be great to solve this problem

    cheers kev.

you mean the heavy duty inner rack joints....i'll get some numbers up later..

it's more than likely thou balancing... you have to have them done JUST right, and not many places take the nessecary care..at that speed i'd think it's more balancing..

I had this problem with my 19`s, it was a very very slight buckle in the wheels, the vec is very sensitive to it. Also another issue some were having was the centre bore was too big and they hadn`t used spigot rings which will centre the wheels properly .... hth

pass.. it took me a while to find one local to me.. i ask them to balance them on 'fine' settings..

if it was the inner joints then the car would have the tendency to wander rather than vibrate...

    Vehicle : Vauxhall

    Trim : very

    Engine : Z19DTH

    Year : Nosey

I've just change the fronts and I had it re-aligned (it was about 1mm out) and reduced tyre width down to 225mm. It doesn't pull half as much now and the tram lining on the motorway with those big ruts in the slow lane is now negligable.

Having alignment and balancing done properly makes a big difference.
