    Default Fitting a GSI/SRI Bumper

Has anybody changed the standard vectra bumper for the GSI/SRI? I'm in the process of doing the same, however the EPC lists a Lower bumper cover part no 24441026 for use with sports models (This is not the lower grill that goes in the bumper below the number plate).

Does anybody know whether you actually need to fit this part and if so what purpose it actually serves?

It could be the 'scuff plate' type device that attaches under the car and is attached to the lower bumper? Can't show a pic as it's impossible to get under my car to get a pic of it - it being lowered and all!

I think Duncan is right, it looks different on epc though, I had a look at mine and the only piece which is anthracite is the scuff plate thingy, which clips under the car with 4 clips ? You would need to fit it as it firms the whole thing up, if it is indded the part, I would imagine it would come with a 2nd hand bumper tho

    Thanks Guys,

Sounds like it might be a scuff plate although it is described as a cover on the EPC. Unfortunately the bumper I've acquired was minus all the trims so this bit and the other grills weren't included.

Think I'll probably just order one and figure out where it goes afterwards.

I had a look at it on EPC as well, didn`t look like the scuff plate either, but it is the only thing which I could see that resembled anything on my bumper ? It is also down as anthracite which doesn`t really tally with the scuff plate either ?
