I noticed a slightly better throttle response, not a huge difference but definitely something.

Since then I have cleaned and blanked the EGR, cleaned the throttle body, boost sensor, and inlet manifold as best I could. Then had the EGR and swirl bar deleted from the ECU and had the car mapped to 390nm torque and 195bhp

I don't really see any differences in filters, best bet is to find a way to get the air in more direct and utilise the space given better

I've got a second airbox so I'm going to have some fun with it and cut away as much of it as I can without damaging the integrity of it and mesh it up and run extra cold air feeds to it.

I removed the entire wind side on the lower section on mine, but I just wanted the induction noise, car has never felt any different to be honest, just a lot louder "whoosh" when I floor it...

i found the kit i was talking about today along with the piping, and whilst fitting i noticed the maf piping had 2 sets of guard on one end so ive chopped that all out, and honestly the difference here is crazy, i bought it originally for my 2.0t and the difference wasn't that noticeable but on my 3.2, my god, much more responsive and the noise is incredible, crazy what different engines respond too. 20150521_100814.jpg

Why drill such big holes? Won't lots of little holes do the trick and stop a lot of **** getting in, and possibly make it whistle???

bigger holes are better, try it for yourself with a plastic board and try breathing through lots of little holes compared to big holes, kinda related but its easier to breathe through bigger holes, would be the same in an air box
