    Default What was the best Xmas pressie you ever had?

    I'll start this off.....

    time for a bit of retro me thinks....

    A long time ago, in a lounge on 25th december 1979...or was it 1980... these appeared...

    think my best pessie had to be my raleigh chopper followed by evil kenevil wind up stunt bike,

    saw a chopper, silver jubilee edition sell on ebay recently for £937, wish i still had mine could get quite a few mods done for that much

    Probably both them for me as well, how cool was the big trak, working out how to get it to come back to you .... and tcr, you could change lane for the first time !!!

    OMFG! Bigtrak was the dog's! For the life of me I can't remember what happened to mine, I was thinking about getting one from ebay at one point to reminisce...

    The only other present I really remember being any good was my bright yellow AA pedal car. It had a flashing amber light on the bonnet for when I was on my way to an emergency

    However the light stopped working at one point (think it needed batteries or a bulb) and my Dad never fixed it for me. It's a source of amusement in our house that I've never truly forgiven him for that

    Raleigh Grifter, with three gears that changed on the turn of the right handle grip, blue - 1st gear, yellow 2nd gear and red 3rd gear if I remember correcrtly. Also had a tomohawk which was the junior version of the chopper!

    When i was about 11 i got a Raleigh Burner it was blue and white with white mag wheels. God i loved that bike

    p.s still have the scars to prove it

    Well I'm gonna go against the grain here, cos mine was a fluffy bundle, 6 weeks old. 10 years later shes still going strong and is DEFINATELY the best present hubby ever bought me lol.
