Default New Work Car on the Horizon??

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...4393&rd=1&rd=1

Trawling through ebay and autotrader I've come across some nice 2.2DTi CDX estates for around the £2800 mark. Or a couple of Vectra C's for around £3100 on a 2003 plate.

Also found the one in the linky above. Do you reckon i should go for a mintish Vec 'B' or a tattier Vec 'C' although mind you the ebay one looks like its in good nick.

    Opinions?

    also found this one..

Find out where it is Dean, and I'll pop over for a look if you like.

Reckon a tattier 'C' would be a better bet.

i'd go for the C mate..... it's a better long term shot.....

remember, tatty new cars can be made like new again.. older cars stay older ( and worth less)..

you could get my painter to wave a gun over it and it's as good as new again...Thou that one on ebay is a looker....

Only fly in the ointment is that the engineer who is gonna write my previous car off wont be down for a week or so... these are just cars which are ideal replacements.. Need to wait till i get cheque in hand before i can slap down some cash. But need to have choices available for when i'm ready.

that veccy C estate sure is clean . It may have high mileage but going by those piccys it has been very well looked after. I would expect to be able to put another 100,000 on that no bother. I would defo opt for the C mate, even if you pick up a B with low miles and a low price the C was such a step up its worth going for it .
Hope your not after performance though, the 2.0 dti is slow enough in the hatch/saloon never mind adding an extra 200kgs, or whatever it is, to the total body weight .

Still go for the C mate. Better cruiser, More reliable (even with 100,000 miles on the clock) more room, more desirable, NEED I GO ON?????
