Default Orange wireless & talk.....What a pain in the ****!

I have been on Orange broadband for over a year now.
I took out the talk package, seemed pretty good, free calls etc for £5 a month. I set it up and it worked for 3 days. Then went kaput.
That was in January, I have spent hours on the phone (BT!) to Orange trying to sort it out without success.
Some of the customer care bods at Orange are completly hopeless. The number of times I have been told to phone back in a few days whilst they do something only to phone back and be told that it hasnt been done!!
Anyhow, I phoned a couple of days ago and a sensible fella said,
"I'll send you a new box"
    Horray! I said.
New box has arrived, plumbed it in and guess what....
    still no phone service!!
So yet again having spent 30 minutes on the phone, I have to phone back in 5 working days!
So, THREE months have passed and still they havent sorted it out.
They havent missed taking a payment from me each month though!!
And every time you phone them you get a phone message telling you "Orange is committed to outstanding customer care..."
They are just about to get told to poke their, mobiles, Broadband and talk package where the sun doesnt shine!
Am I just having a bad experience or is Orange just cr*p?

If someone on here works for Orange I'd love to hear your views.

    Orange......... 'AVE THIS!
    Rant over!

I sympathise mate, I had a similar experience with NTL. One of there Personal Customer Care managers were meant to phone me within 48 hours, that was in May last year and i'm still waiting !!!

These big co's don't give a stuff, they are only interested in generating new business.

    GOOD LUCK !

Use a livebox for our broadband.

The technical support consists of a bloke with a manual so I gave up on them.

After a bit of messing around ours has been perfect on the internet front and the internet calls worked straight out of the box.

I went to loads of Orange websites to get the liveprinter working recently but as far as I remember the phone side of things was difficult to resolve.

It seems that you are not alone:

I've got a m8... with an orange mobile, where they can't sort out his 3g access properly, so currently he has a bill of 13k for one phone... Don't think they'll be getting that back!
