Default In Headrest Monitors / DVD ??

Next project for me is a DVD player and monitors in the headrests ... Couple of questions though..

Having sat nav I need to keep the stereo so would like to put the dvd player in the glovebox a`la Matt , how do you get the sound rigged, does the IR thingummy in the monitors send sound to headphones, or how do I get it to play through the car speakers, I think Matt used an rf modulator but I haven`t seen a dvd playr with this option.

When the monitors are fitted does the ir thingummy transfer the signal from the remote top the dvd player ? and if so can the volume be adjusted, or are there monitors with speakers in them.

Ideally I would like to play the sound through the car speakers? Also how much work to get tv working through them ??

Not much of an iCE man so any help mucho appreciated ??

can you let me know what screens you use Tommy, sounds interesting. my little install would be alot easier as i just want the screens to show the same thing as the dvd player is.

are you going to installa the screens yourself?

I am going to install them myself I reckon, hopefully anyhoo, two screens linked to a dvd player and powered from an ignition live I hoped, I would think the most complicated bit will be running the wires ?? Keep it all clear of the factory fit stereo is the plan ??

You can buy RF Transmittors quite cheap these days (£10). You can use batteries in them or some come with a ciggy lighter supply. This is one i bought for my mp3 player to save having to burn CD's all the time.

It's simply a case of using the 3m jack to plug it into your device.. dvd player may have an earphone socket?

    How about these ? http://www.chinavasion.com/product_i...bbeb9ed204738/

Fit some for the rear seats! lol

I'll be doing this but i'll be doing it DIY style so i'll appreciate it more. And i'll be using a PS2 so i can play games and watch DVD's to it'll be a bit cheaper for me.

I was thinking of using a ps2, but was told as it is designed for home use it doesn`t have a decent antishock system so will skip when you are moving ?
