    Default New CDTI Siggy

Just thought I'd let you know that I'm about to take the plunge and pick up a 55 plate 1.9 CDTI Signum Elite Auto tomorrow in Pomegranite Red. I'm dead excited, having driven my old Vec C into the ground over 110k miles.

Some questions if anyone has an opinion-

The front tyres on the Signum look like they are down to the minimum- should the Network Q checks pick this up & replace them?

Does a 55 Elite have a DAB radio?

Is the Sat Nav any good? I have a Tom Tom One which is fab

Anyone know why the boot is so much smaller on a Siggy?

I'll post some pics when I get a mo

tyres, you could mention it to them, but as long as they are legal then they don't HAVE to do them...

Pass on the radio..But it would have DAB on the front of it i beleive, if it is a DAB set..

The CD70 NAV is great, different to use than the TOMTOM, but still just as good...we have both..the VX nav in the signum and TT one in the GSi.. either is just as good.. just make sure you get a 2005 CD with the car....

Why is the boot smaller, it's because the rear seats are completely different, they slide on rails just like the fronts..and the foldflat mechanism uses a bit of the room as well..But unlike the vectra,it does leave a completely flat boot floor that is bigger than a vectra hatch's when it's all folded down.. and don't forget that you can move the seats independantly and they will rake their backs independatly as well... in fact they're better than the fronts....

Oh, and Hi , from another Bedfordshire owner...

The front tyres were down to the stops when I was buying my car from Network Q. I simply said I would take the car at the price I paid as long as the front tyres were replaced (and I got Michelin's)

Thanks both. I'll see if I can get the tyres sorted tomorrow

I must admit to being really impressed with the Signum- it looks dead posh inside (at least compared to my k*****d old SRI).

I've read that the 6 speed auto is a good one, and doing 25,000 a year its going to be a real plus for me. I'll let you know my impressions tomorrow!

Thats true, I got 2 new fronts on mine when I bought it through Network Q , and they couldn`t have been to bad as the car had done under 7000 miles !!

Maybe your forgetting those two fronts are coping with 250+bhp and the steering, maybe the last owner "drove it a little"

But hey, whats a car like that for??
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Thanks all for the advice- front tyres were actually fine once I got a proper look at them

REALLY pleased with the Siggy- just a short drive home but initial impressions are great- looking forward to giving it a proper blast tomorrow

PS why does the Sat Nav not use post codes- how annnoying is that!!
