Head Light Bulbs Changing

any tips on changing headlight bulbs,,,shreaded my hands trying

It is a bit of a task to change the dipped ones, but the sidelight and main beam are worse. Well nearly, just the drivers side you have to get past the airintake pipe I found it better to remove it, you don,t cut your hands to bits though.

sometimes it's easier to take the bumper off and take the lamps out..

How big are your hands??

I'm not the smallest bloke about, but I can change bulbs or switch the beams without dismantling the car!!

being a bricky i would probably rip the front end off,,,or lose my temper and just drive it into a wall and claim on insurance,,will get done that way

the alternative is to remove the airbox on the driverside.. not a big job, but gives you loads of access ( just take the lid off and pull the base up,, it's on studs) and take the windscreen washer filler tube out of the passengers side ( prise up the clip off the slam panel and then just pull it up out of the seal..

if i can get in with my 'shovels' of hands then you can do it too....but it does get 'cosy' inside the lamps..

tried today,,gave up,,the mrs just said why did i struggle, she would have done it,,skinney hands
