confused Loss of water 2.0 Dti

Can anyone help me......52 plate 2.0 Dti.......I lose a lot of water from the expantion tank. If i am just plodding around from a-b then perfect but as soon as i go on the motorway and give it a bit of welly it starts to dissapear....I have changed the cap today as a start but it still losses it. Cannot see any apparent leaks anywhere and its not overheating....
    Any ideas?

well the water is only going one or two places, so it's either leaking out of a gasket joint or a pinhole in a hose, or else it's going out of the exhaust...no other ideas on where it's going?????

it'll be the best way to find out where it's going.. if he's got a diesel adaptor for a cylinder leakage test it will also tell you more..

    Angry

    Been to the local stealers.............
Had pressure test, had car running for 4 hours, had mechanics scratching there heads for another 4 hours. No leaks,no condensation from exhaust,no clue!!!!!!!!!
They said air lock,so they bled system, they said expansion tank,so they replaced it,they bled it again, they said not head gasket, not water pump, not rad...................I came back to a nice £238.57 parts and labour bill.........Then they said they have NO IDEA ......Don't go to A.A.Clark in Windsor cos they are useless..... They are trained mech's that work for a vauxhall dealership but can't fix a car (NO WONDER THEY ARE SHUTTING DOWN IN 2 WEEKS)
Does anyone know a good Vaux mech near Maidenhead?

    Question

Any oil droplets or sludge appearing in expansion tank floating on surface when you top up water level?

Was it a radiator pressure test, or was it a block test?..big difference in what it can tell you
