    Default Nice little touch!

Just got home from work and found Mr Postie had left a big cardboard box. Opened it up and found a big Peugeot branded tin of premium chocolate chip cookies. There was also a thank you letter and the all important follow up questionnaire regarding my purchase.

I've already had a phone call from the dealer checking everything is ok!. Amazing how these little touches make you feel better about your car. They've organised a one month check to change the oil and give it the once over. I've not had to lift a finger or pick up the phone.

Fingers crossed this quality of service continues during the time I own the car.

This is the sort of service that all customers should recieve. After all, there isn't really a bad car made anymore, so it's down to the dealers and salespeople to make you feel like a valued customer.

I had a similar experience when i bought my Freelander. Flowers for the wife on collection and a full run through of everyting on the car, radio tuned to my favourites etc. Follow up phone call and courtesy check. Also had a free invitation to a half day off road track to try the car where it should be used
Shouldn't all dealers be like this.

    Vauxhall, are you listening

We had all of the above as well, for our Vectra. Thurlow Nunn Vauxhall Dealer looked after us. Excellent service, car washed and valeted like new, flowers for the wife, courtacy phone call, good trade in price for my old car etc etc... Its just down to the dealer I suppose.

Sadly I found the Pug dealers quite poor in my 306 days. We complain about VX mechanics. I got my pug back from repair once and when I put the window down on the motorway, the door popped open!

    Lets hope they've improved

When i bought the astra a couple of years ago, i got the shortest introduction known to man. Lights and wipers are in the normal place, big button turns the radio on, any questions, good, bye bye now!!

So I proceeded to ask him what every single button on the car did.

The boss at work had a 307, it had been in the dealers for over 2 weeks for various problems in which time they must have had the tank off. He took it to the petrol station after picking it up and ended up with £40 of diesel all over the forecourt.

Him and two kids stood there and they sent a 206 van to pick them all up.
