happened to me, same problem. you can hear the motor whizzing so you know that's working. it's a common problem....the feed at the bottom of the water tank gets blocked. apparently it's easy to locate and fix the problem, luckily enough, mine went by itself. in order to clear the blockage you need to remove the tube or something at the bottom of the reservois.

Mark (GSi3.2) will be able to tell you exactly what needs to be done.

remove the screws on the drivers side inner wing where it meets the bumper..this will let you peel the inner sheild out of the way so you can get to the motor..prise the motor straight up out of the reservior and remove the black seal, water should flood out...

now clean the seal under a tap until water shoots out of it through all the fine holes in the sides and end of it..then just replace the seal and the motor into the bottle, refill and test.. if it all goes fine then refit the screws..... 15 minute job..

the cause is sludge formed by screenwash concentrate....it shouldn't happen again now the tank's been emptied..

if the fronts work and the back doesn't , and the headliner inside the car isn't wet, then look at the valves on the motor..
