    Default Parrot HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm trying to fit my Parrot 3200 Colour, by adding the relevent Line In pins into the existing quadlock block.... I have the right pins but can't see which sockets to add them into, there is no diagram on top of the stereo like I expected.

Does anyone know which pins are Line In on a CD70 navi???

    Hi Mate
I had a Parrot 3000 fitted to my CD70 a couple of weeks ago now and they had to fit a extra wiring harness to the stereo/sat nav. I'm not sure if you have one but you will need it. Halfords can get them. 20 Quid. Just tell them the parrot type and stereo type and they will tell you what harness you need.
Hope you get it sorted mate.

Shan, I'm trying to do it without the harness, but I'm thinking I might be better just getting the harness. Gonna call Hellfrauds now!

    Here you are: http://forum.vectra-c.com/showpost.p...8&postcount=54

NB: The Line + and Line - are the other way around to the pic ... other than that they are spot on ... so Pin 40 is Line (-) and Pin 34 is Line (+)

    Good luck

Ooopps, sorry Jamie. Some labels don't realy identify the pins you want.
    As Dave said it's pins 40 + 34.

Not sure what to do now.... I think I'll take another look at it tomorrow, but I am very tempted to get the SOT leads!

I would have ordered one this afternoon if the lad in Halfords had been able to find the right one in the catalogue!!!

It's up to you of course Jamie but as you have gone as far as you have it would seem a waste of 20 odd quid to me. The only reason my thread was so long was that I didn't know which pins to connect the stuff to ... if I had to fit another now it would be a lot quicker and easier.

It seems a waste of money to me when it's only 6 wires to connect:

    Line(-) to 40
    Line(+) to 34
Ground to ground pin on back of quad lock
Constant Live to live pin on back of quad lock
Mute to Mute pin on back of Quad Lock
Ignition Live to live side of cigar lighter socket

Okay then.... I'll be a brave boy and give it a go!!!

Did you use the 'knotted wire' method for the mute cable or can you splice it in somewhere?

Good man ... you know it makes sense ... and you will get much more satisfaction when you have completed the job!

I stripped about 12mm off and twisted it around into a tight loop, then poked it down into the quad lock whilst this was connected to the back of the head unit. It doesn't have to make a super strong contact as long as it does make contact ... it simply grounds out the pin to tell the head unit to switch to the line in input. When I get around to fitting my parking sensors (all wiring and relays are in place in the boot) I'll be connecting a second ground wire in (to mute the stereo when I engage reverse) ... I think I'll probably splice this into the Parrot loom though

The other benefit of using the mute pin by the way is that it will pause the CD if you are listening to one (or MP3) and restart where it paused when the call ends
