    Default Trip computer....

I filled up the car yesterday, 55 litres-ish and when i got back in the car and reset the trip computer i was a bit confused as to why the Range was only showing 330 odd miles, considering i'd just covered 470 on a full tank.

So my question is this, what figured does the computer use to estimate the Range? Does it use the last mpg figure that was recorded before the computer was reset??

Before refilling i was showing approximately 38mpg so how would this give me 330 miles to a full tank.

The Range figure has increased by a fe miles since last night when i filled up but it still seems very low.

Finally, i've tried finding the thread telling you what needs to be done in order to view the miles 'left' until the next service is required but having no luck with it. Something to do with reseting the trip computer whilst the keys are out of the ignition. Can anyone point me in the right direction or tell me the correct procedure.

    Cheers
    Harry

It uses the last 20 - 30 km to calculate the range.

As above, it uses your most recent driving to calculate the range. It will adjust as you start to drive.

With the ignition off/keys out, press the trip reset button the dash. If anumber pops up then you are on ECOFlex and that is the mileage to the next service. If no number comes up then you are on EcoService (12 months/20k service).

The little button by the display that shows your mileage/miles done etc, at the bottom of your speedo.

The same one you use to reset the odeometer
