Default Colour coded V on facelift Vectra/Signum

    Hi Guys

Am thinking of colour coding my V to the car.

Have had a word with my local dealer and they say that a new 'V' is £75 plus another £30 - £40 for painting - not including the fit.

I am a little concerened however as to how they think it should be painted....... I would like the 'V' to be coloured, but leaving the chrome trim at the bottom and the VX badge in the middle.

Could I ask that any one that has had this done, to post pictures so that I can show the local VX delaer exactly what it is that I mean, as they don't seem to have a clue

    Thanks in Advance

    Neil

I'd like to do this, but I do like the chrome finish too!

Maybe someone could create an interchangable V grille, so you could change it to suit your mood!

    Dead easy job,

All you need is part number 9271533 and then get it painted. the V should retail at about £60 + VAT and painting depends on where you get it done.

To do the job corrctly, simply follow the directions below.

    1) Remove the front bumper, no more than 10 minutes
    2) unclip the chrome V and remove from the black mesh type backing.
    3) Remove the chrome griffin badge
    4) Remove the black griffin mounting plate from the chrome V
    5) Re-Fit the black griffin mounting plate to your new painted V
    6) Re-Fit the griffin badge (This will need sticking from the back, araldite is perfect for this.
    7) Re-fit new V to black mesh backing and re-fit the bumper.

The whole job should take no more than 40 minutes allowing time for the badge glue to set.

This job will only colour code the V, leaving the other chrome surround in place. You can change the V without removing the bumper, but this will break the clips on the chrome V and render it useless.

    Hope this helps.

Mine is obviously the Signum, but the primered V will fit every facelift Vectra and Signum grill.

There is a facelift grille in the for sale section!

A few of us are looking to do same so a group spray up could be on the cards (If its black)

I have a family contact who may be able to do something, he's going to do mine first to see what results are like!
