    Default Fitting a quad irmscher exhaust system and rear skirt

    Hi

    I have purchased a irmscher quad exhaust system and rear skirt for my vectra. Someone who works in a bodyshop is going to fit the rear skirt as he has a garage where the car can be kept out of the rain while the glue dries. The queston I have is can the new skirt and surround be fitted with the original twin exhaust in place or do I need to fit the quad exhaust system first. My pal wants to get the exhaust fitted on the ramps at work but that would need to be done during working hours and so he is not able to fit the skirt at the same time during his lunch without having to charge me as its not his place.

    Default

    If it's similar to the Signum then do this;
    Take off the original exhaust, remove the clips that hold on the rear valance.

    Clip on the new rear valance as it will help with aligning the new exhaust.

    Fit the new exhaust. Check alignment. Check it again from every possible angle. Ask a few mates to check it.

    If it's only 5mm out of square it will look ****e. Do it once and do it properly. At no stage is it difficult if you can drive a spanner, if you have acess to a pit all the better.

    Good luck and happy fettling.
