    Nah, you did not state which engine you were talking about bud. Most enquiries on this subject matter relate the 1.9 tractor engines and unfortunately I made the assumption that you were another of those.

    As for the 3.2 engine I could not advise but to say see what the majority opinion is on here from those who may have looked at it seriously before or even tried it.

    Default Solid lightened flywheel gsi 3.2 2004

    Hello i own a gsi 3.2 i have recently fitted a stage 2 dual friction clutch with a standard but main dealer quality slave cylinder but i have destroyed the dual mass flywheel inside 6 > 8 weeks can anyone advise if there is any reasons not to carry out this conversion as i keep seeing threads this is not a good idea but would like to why i look forward to any replys thanks

    Was it a new DMF fitted when you upgraded the clutch or did you keep the existing one?

    AFAIK the 3.2 engine is best of with the OEM DMF and clutch... if you upgrade to a stiffer clutch it puts more strain on the DMF and that is why @tonyw1967 had problems....
    just stick to OEM.

    Inpurchased a single mass steel lightened flywheel from ttv racing in ipswitch the best thing i ever done no rattling at idle no vibration fanstic product and only £388 delivered to my door highly reccomed this modifaction works great with a comp stage 2 dualfriction clutch no problemms at idle at all
