Sorry guys, I am out & gutted ..

It is with deep, deep regret I am having to pull out of the trip of a lifetime I put my house on the market on Monday, expected to be looking at offers just before leaving for Germany, as it is I have sold it in 48 hours !!, and need to move out in May. I cannot get time off work in April and May so have had to cancel my trip When you guys are having the time of your lives i will be working ... I have lots of time off when ashore but have problems planning things but such is life and with Bainie junior on the way I have to get my priorities straight.

I hope you guys have a whale of a time, and special thanks to Mark for organising it, and Bryan for offering to Chauffeur me there .....

yep bulding a house, bit more to it than meets the eye *lol* planning is in though and the land is bought, this house sold and tempory accomodation arranged ... Getting there, just wish I was getting to Germany

Tommy make sure you have a contingency fund.........ours was 10k and we or should I say SHE spent the lot

Got an offer for my house I could not refuse on the condition I took it off the market, hence the quick sale, Contingency fund is well topped up But I am sure she will take care of that as well ...

And shop around for the best interest rate we were being asked to pay between 4% and 33%.........we eventually got the "house build" loan (that's an account that is set up to allow you to pay for the building of the house before it is converted to a mortgage) at 0% interest and yes that's zero % on the understanding we gave the lender the mortgage, that was with the Clydesdale bank

Also I don't know how long you expect it to take or have been told it will take but.......we were told "it will take about 3months"........mmmmm try 18months
