    Default Tail trim costs ??

I was up at powerflow today asking about new tail trims, I am not keen on the VX ones, personal taste I suppose. Any way I found 2 trims which were perfect, and they filled the cutouts just right.

They are just slightly bigger than the standard ones, they need to be welded to the back boxes and I was quoted £140 Am i being a skinflint, or does this sound reasonable for the work involved ? Think I may go with it as they look really nice ...

They had cheaper trims, but I really liked that ones, they are more expensive because of the baffle effect in the middle

It does seem expensive to me dude. As you know I paid £300 for my quad CAT back.

They do look rather tasty though, so try and get a bit of a reduction for a mention on here.

Look very good Tommy, i have been thinking along those lines after seeing the signum with just the tail pipes added last week. £140 seems rather steep TBH considering for about £200 more you could have the full system...

My tailpipes on the VXRD were £75 each, just for the tailpipes..

So I think that price sounds about right...

Got another place which is 30 miles away down to £125 , think I will go for it, they said they can weld them a bit higher on the backbox as well, as I think the VXR ones sit too low, and too far out as well .. Probably spend £15 on petrol but it`s a nice drive up there, and it`s a principle thing *lol* They said the tailpieces were £50 + value added theft each so about the same as yours spoons ..

I'm with you on this one Tommy. I think the problem with the VXR tails are that they're fitted too low and too far out from the bumper. I can see what Vauxhall were thinking when they designed them, but as you say they're not everyones taste.

I reckon if they're fitted further in and higher up on they'll look the dogs though. £30 plus postage is a bargain and well worth a try for someone.
