Tyre Help

Hello, my front and back tryes are pretty ****ged at the moment - backs on their way out but have a few thousand miles left in em but fronts are bald!

I read on here that you can change from 215/50/17 to 225/45/17 as they are a lot cheaper.

Would I be able to run 225's at the front and 215's at the rear or would I have to swap backs for fronts?

what I did was put the new 225s on the back and stick the old part worn 215s on the front. That way they'll scrub out quicker & you can then change them to 225s as well and end up with all 4 the same sooner.

I think it would be ok, they always recommend fitting new tyres to the rear to reduce the chance of oversteer in an emergency. Apparently under steer is easier to control!
As long as they are on the same axle, I can't see a problem
