    Default SUPERSPORT coilovers!

I have talked to the people at Venom Sport (cheers AJA )

They have a set of coilovers for my 1.9 cdti fully adjustable for just £350. Can drop to 75mm if needed

i've never heard of these German manufactuers, but on other board them seem to have a good name.

Can any1 point me towards or away from this brand???

Ahem! Who pointed you in Venom's direction

I'm sure I've heard of Supersport matey, but I can't vouch for their quality.

ive heard of the coilovers, they are big in the VW scene. not heard anything good or bad about them, just know they are very popular.

if u do decide to go down the coilover route, remember to clean the threads of the adjusting part regular, i do mine once a month. prevents road salt and dirt corroding the threads, which will seize the seats of the springs, then - no adjustment.

it depends on what u want from lowering it.

if uve got a front splitter, it will limit how low u can go, therefore u wont use the full height adjustability of coilovers.

if u want comfort, i wouldnt use the coilovers, they are very hard.

if ure lowering for looks then coilovers would be good, if ure font splitter allows u to go lower enough.

i just want it to sit nicely on the arches and not twang around really.

i would love to go back to my old r5GT turbo days and have it slammed 75-80mm but with 2 young kids and that front splitter it does limit it.

I am only looking at shox also because i felt as they springs are getting changed it might be a good idea to do the shox too.....but no-one else does a kit which is why this full coilover kit was quite appealing.

but i dont wanna spend £350 on a pony suspension set up really either....

for £350 it will be a basic coilover package, height adjustment only etc.
quality of materials used may not be the best, e.g. they might corrode/rust easily if not clean properly.

but a basic set up is probably all thats required, and with proper care etc itll last just as long as any other set-up.

i got frustrated when i was lookin for coilover kits for mine just under 2 years ago, there werent any around apart from the KW kit. Others like FK and Supersport were still in development.
