I fitted a set From James and no coding was required and I have had no problems whatsoever and made 251bhp on courtenay sports rollers combined with my other mods courtenay where very impressed with them

I was told you had cold start issues and the map was adjusted Strothow?

Was that 300 delivered? If so I'll drop them to 300.

Coding is not possible because they are from an EDC17 ECU but depending on the calibration codes you originally have, you can get virbrations, smoking and rough running. It is hit and miss, which, is why I warn people rather than claim they will work perfectly every time. If you prefer I will just tell you all that they are awesome and can not possibly fail to give you loads more power with no other work. I prefer to be honest though and I know of three cars fitted with these that had minor issues.

I use the same code in all positions and they now run acceptably. The mapping does ideally need to be adjusted for them because characteristics are different but many cars will run the fine most of the time, cold starts are likely to be the only issue.

I'm currently running about the same power I was on standard injectors but with far less smoke visible. Obviously they can deliver a lot more fuel and can on some remaps cause limp mode as a result if they are not mapped in specifically.

£320 delivered and yes they are second hand but exactly the same as I have fitted in mine.
Thats great, so why fit uprated injectors? Id assume its so at the correct point in the cycle the correct amount of fuel is put in rather than a smaller flow injector having to open for longer to try and get the same amount of fuel in over a longer period? And thats why the uprated versions give more power less smoke etc?
Are these uprated injectors refurbed at all or just come 2nd hand and cleaned up ready for fitting? Is there any seals that are recommended to be replaced at the same time?
    Thanks Karl

As I have said before, they are second hand and not tampered with. You'd only need a set of four copper sealing rings as with any injector change.

They definitely flow more fuel in the same time frame but have a slower reaction time than standard injectors.

Ok thats good to know, is the slower reaction time a good thing or a bad one? I suppose if there flowing more fuel its going to get in the cylinder at the right time with the exact amount so isn't to important.
You should collate all this info on your trader section on here its very good reading and certainly confirms you know what your on about

I have put it in the trader section but nobody ever bothers to look, so they just ask questions over and over.

If you don't adjust the mapping for the injectors, you will be injecting far more fuel than the ECU believes it is using, just like a tuning box.

Well Teapot said he adjusted the map because you had issues AND the map was modified specifically because of the injectors and resulted in better performance. All of which supports what I've said.
