Default Has anyone fitted parking sensors to their Vectra??

    If so,

    Which ones did you choose?
    Did you do it yourself?
    How much did it cost?

Basically I want to fit some but dont know where to start, seems there are hundreds of different kits/prices etc etc.
If anyone has fitted them/had them fitted to an estate then tell me all you can.
    Your views/experience would be welcome.
    Cheers guys & gals.

I know paul (leeds vectra) is in the middle of doing this at the moment and he is using a vx kit. I'm sure he will post up a "how 2" when he has finished.
I'm keeping an eye on the thread as i'm also keen to do this mod, but lets see how paul gets on first.

As Craig says i'm half way through it at the moment, got all the wiring done just waiting for the mounting parts to come from Germany. So far so good, keep an eye on my thread i'll keep you all updated.

There are a couple of ways you can go depending on how much you are willing to spend and the finished look you want. I have chosen the Vauxhall route as I want the control of the dash switch and the factory finish look of the sensors.

Thats fighting talk where I'm from....!!
My wife is only diddy and has real probs seeing out the back of the car, Vec estates are actually just slightly smaller than an aircraft carrier.
I figured a few quid spent on parking sensors would prevent me from spending out considerably more few quid when it gets reversed into things (posts, bollards, other cars, tramps, etc etc!)

I fit these and they are a great product, more expensive than the £30 odd stuff on ebay but this is a quality product in comparisom.

    http://www.steel-mate.co.uk/acatalog...nsors.html#a16

Fitted the PTS400V set the other day with the bright blue display (think someone else on here also has) and I was very impressed. The response time of the sensos picking up something to displaying it on the display was instant, haven't seen any as fast as these.
I have the PTS800MN on mine & thought they were good until I saw the 400V. Where mine if you reverse at speed tey go 1.7m, 1.4m, 0.9m and so on. With those the slower the better & it will count every .1m.
The 400V starts counting at 2.5m and counts every .1m without missing any out iit's so fast.

If you're intrested in any of these give me a shout as I can obtain these kits.
