    Indeed. I was driven in an Impreza P1 once - went like **** off a shovel but after 10 minutes I was feeling sick - you couldn't pay me enough to own one as a normal car. It's surprising what even small cars cost nowadays - I was looking at Mercedes A Class models not long back and to get a decent spec took you up towards 30 grand pretty quickly.

    I could've gotten an Insignia for about 16 grand if I went poverty spec with the 1.8 petrol engine, but that wouldn't be any fun to own. I could've gotten a VXR for the same price as mine, but couldn't afford to run it...

    totally agree mate world would be so boring if we where all the same, my wifes just reminded me later in the year im wanting to spend near 40k on a nissan lol

    32k for a top spec family car is not much these days. Try speccing a bmw 3 series, merc class or a4 to what a top spec insignia is and your looking at 40k+
