Can anyone make animated jpeg files?

I'm probably not in the right place here but is anyone able to create an animated Griffin Logo in either avi or jpeg format? Preferably in chrome on a black background? Basically just spinning round slowly.

u can get it animated in an avi or gif, but im pretty sure u cant get animated jpeg's.

I work in I.T. and i've never seen an animated jpeg! Gif yes, Jpeg... not to my knowledge! lol

The specs on the Photo Frame state Motion Jpeg or Avi so i'm confused.

If anyone is capable of producing a series of pictures, i can turn them into an Avi, or a gif would do and i can screen capure it and save the screen capture as an avi.

"Video Motion:Jpeg" would be Mpeg, so you want mpeg2 or mpeg4 I'm guessing (or, shock-horror, mpeg1). How you'd create an mpeg2/4 movie from scratch is anyones guess, never done that myself I'm afraid. I know you can convert avi to mpeg, but that photo frame you mention can play avi's, so that would be a waste of time anyway. Like you say, make an avi from stills I guess. Or get someone to do you a nice render of the griffin in a 3D prog, then animate that.

You could also do it the hard way and de-badge your boot, then get your camcorder and film as you spin the badge round by hand. You can turn that into avi/mpeg2.

ahhh i see, i've never heard it called a motion jpeg before! lol

Easiest option would be to do it in a GIF format and screen capture it. Screen Capture software should be able to convert to avi or mpeg.

All i need now is an animated GIF of a rotating griffin! lol...

(The badge is coming off soon.. nearly snapped my fingers off last time i tried.. gonna try using my security pass! lol)
