CID is it possible to flash a new opening image?

I see the video now. What I'm not sure of is whether you have also updated the display to a 3 line display ?

I am lead to believe that the fuel warning feature is removed when you "update" the CID to show a 3 line display.

Yes it is a 3 line display, do not remember if it was a part of the uppgrade 3,5 years a go.

If you had the 3 line flash some years ago and have only just adjusted the opening screen, maybe there is some hope for others like me who had both done at the same time and lost the "range warning message" in the process

the one reason I have not had mine upgraded to 3 line is the loss of low fuel warning, so interested to know how you solved this

can't really tell if you added the OPC splash to a 2-line software or you actually got the low fuel warning on the 3-line display? - either way, please tell

The solution was actually quite simple. Reset CID to delivery mode and program again.

The easy way to tell if it's an upgrade or a legit 3-line CID is to show the back of it.

Most 2 line CIDs will run ident DB / part number 24461297, if a DB CID is running 3 line firmware, it's an upgrade.

From hazy memory and a brief prod on EPC, I think the legitimate 3 line CID has ident BH / part number 13275009
