Has a Limp,,,,,,,



well......she got a flat on Friday , and you guessed it, i had to use the ' space saver spare ' ,,,what an ugly looking wheel, anyway cant complain too much as it did get me the 45 miles back home,

after having to swap a rear wheel to the front ( which had the flat ) and then puting the saver on the nearside rear, and going up the motorway at 60mph in the inside lane, lol,,,,, more shame than safety , lol

had to buy 4 new tyres on friday night ( as in other thread ) as the two fronts were less than 2mm anyway , so not worth getting the flat repaired,

now waiting for the new tyres to turn up b4 fitting em, and am using the wifes renault grand scenic 1.6............................


not driven her since friday , lol

cant wait to get 4 new boots on , and they are 225/45 's as well

Which tyres are you going for BTW? I had these fitted to my Signum, and changed to 225/45 as well and the difference was amazing!

i got 4 Bridgestone 225/45/17 REO40's for £45 a corner, plus £24 delivery , which in anyones book is a good price for brand new tyres me thinks,

they usually cost £150 each, recently reduced to around the £100 mark in some sales, best price fitted at £93 a corner by some peeps on here,

so aint too bad , lol

i already did in another post, he had 5 left at that point after i bought 4 of em on ebay,

the sale is still live but he only has 1 remaining now,

tho he does sell lots of different tyres all the time, and from his feedback i found he sold some b4,

he states that the tyres have been fitted to wheels, but then taken off after not being used,
the only thing i can think of is that he gets hold of tyres from a dealership that has exchanged wheels on a new car for different ones and got rid of the originals, i know they do this at VX where my brother works, there are piles of em sometimes round the back of the workshops,

well,
it just gets better..............

i got all my new tyres fitted today, Bridgestone Potenza 225/45/17's REO40

first i went to National Tyres , but they wanted £63 ( yes £63 ****in quid ) to fit all 4 on my wheels,

"FFF!"£$%^&*()££££" said i , and left, lol

went to the local 'other tyre fitting place' thats quick , and they wanted £29 ( £5 ballancing and £2 per tyre to fit ), better i thought......

how about cash for a friday afternoon says i ..............

£20 do ya ? ......says he

what bay do you want me in .......... says i

PS..... the tyres turned up by courier with ' next day delivery, and i also got a free ' fitting kit ' with the 4 tyres, ??
opens the box to find a full set of VX wheelbolts and some adapter things,
