    Anyone added heat pads etc to the rear bench ?
    What's needed for the job ?

    Are you using genuine or aftermarket kits ?
    aftermarket is much cheaper

    This gives me another idea for a new forum section, we should have a section called modifying so all the stuff like this can be talked about in there to keep it in one place and easy to find if others want to do it

    I've done this to mine, check under your bench for the small connectors either side for the pads and for the switch connectors in the rear console they should be green for one side and brown for the other and go from there.
    Set of rear pads and rewire to car loom. 2 switches and panel to fit in, 2 relays for rec.

    im sure it's covered in the right section as that's where I took all my info from

    I have no wiring in place. Its a Facelift lol....
    Looking for genuine unless aftermarket can use the genuine switches.

    IIrc dog_book had wiring in place as me and Happypostie fitted aftermarket heater mats to his leather ......

    So aftermarket pads with vx wiring is the way to go. I'll get to my donor car and pull some more wiring out then lol.

    Yes, can be done... Fit OEM wiring and just change the plug which goes under the rear bench to one which comes with the heater mats so they are still unplug able

    PM happypostie as he has done this on his.
