    Well following on from the above link i've just received a letter from Goodyear
    Obviously personal details removed.

    Now, bear in mind both tyres failed simultaneously,and were of the same docket number,and i was there when Goodyear were first called and claimed that they had no previous problems with this 'new' batch,(considering their earlier dodgy batch and national recall).
    I'd like to think that my case may be enough to encourage them to launch another recall for this particular batch,and when you consider my tyres were half worn and they still gave me a 100% refund,they have obviously found a problem here,and in fairness have treated me well in their response.
    But I thought it important to let you know guys/gals about this one,I suspect that original fit on 06 facelifts,and summer 06 replacements for preface's will be involved but that's just a thought.I journey home to see family in Wales,and I can't imagine what might have been had I not noticed this by chance......

    I had my 2 front tyres replaced a few weeks ago becuase of this. I was in a hurry and let kwikflit do the work. They said it was one of those things, I must have driven the car over something to cut the tyres......

    They then went ahead and sold me 4 new ones - fitted them very badly (found out the balancing was totally out after following another thread on this forum - http://forum.vectra-c.com/showthread.php?t=21096)

    Mate,i would get in touch with Goodyear and tell them whats happened.
    It looks like your local Kwik fit has done you out of a few quid there to say the least,and advised your poorly,in order to get your cash. Bar a stinger,i can't think of what would cause such damage to both fronts at the same time.
    Have to say,i've never trusted kwikfit to use them,but have been pleasantly surprised at the managers willingness to go the extra mile to help.
    Obviously without your proof you may have lost your chance at a refund now,but it would certainly help to encourage GoodYear to do another recall.
    I knew it wouldn't be long before i found out that i'm not alone with this
