i removed the ashtray(front) in me vectra c, and found a socket underneath..

what the hell is that socket for!!!!!

any answers?

it's the main diagnostic port for the dealer to communicate with your car.. it's called the OBDII port

remappers and dealers can connect to the computers directly here..

i think its 4 the dealers to check out your faults.
like if your engine warning light came on, they would plug their gizmo's into this.
pretty sure of that anyway!

i bought single letters from SPARESWORLD near me for around £1.50 each.
They just stick on.
Nice little touch i thought.
