This is a side view of the refurbed front and rear original waiting to be refurbed , I thought they looked grey at first but may have been the low light .
Actually look pretty much stock , which I thought looks great .

Cheers Kev . yeah rubbed down with 120 grit then used aluminium filler , 400 grit, primer 2000 grit, base coat , degrease then lacquer, got the third one primered tonight .Ready for basecoat .
So should have them done fully tomorrow , masking is a ball ache but then spraying take minutes .

I popped wheel nut covers oto my locking nuts by buying some 19mm(?) ones (it was 2mm bigger than the standard vextra ones). Just finishes it off nicely.
today I resprayed the really bad rear o/s alloy , this had a chunk taken out near one of the dimples making a difficult job , anyway heres pics of the rear o/s amd n/s which is drying overnight before final lacquering .

£8.99 ebay 5 litre have been using this a lot it's good stuff for the price .
120 grit wet and dry and old paintbrush then wash it off.

after the o/s wheel had dried from the primer stage it had to be refilled as it was showing a little bit from where the chunk had been taken out , so now it was time to kill 2 birds at the same time and prep the n/s and refill the o/s rear .

and 16 new bolts which Wheelbase gave me by mistake when I bought the 17" alloys for the Sierra , fords use nuts and Vauxhall use bolts had them in a bag since 2003 .

Stunning diy job on the alloys, I would wait and let the paint settle for a week or two though before dressing the tyre's depending whats being used.
