Superb job mate, that is a stunning motor that seems to be improving on a daily basis. You got me wishing I had more time to get mine up to scratch.
But you are showing the way with regards to doing things cost effective, that make a huge overall difference.

Cheers bud , thats it why spend £800 on alloys when I refurbished the set fir £50 . I know owners like Snowflake alloys and Vxr ones look nice but essentially this is a GSI and trying to keep some of its Original identity .
Trying not to do mods that others have done is damn difficult .
Thanks everyone one for there kind replies and any suggestions are more than welcome .
    Cheers Guys.

After a week of sat on jacks while refurbs were done , a wash down with my favorite dodo juide sour power and dodo shampoo for the alloys which is non agressive .
And went for a run .

So it runs okay, does it?

This thread has made my mind up to refurbish my 18" Irmscher Evo Stars myself. Thank you for the inspiration! As has been said, it's great to see your threads about getting the jobs done for reasonable outlay.

I know this is bumping an old thread but just had to say that is brilliant work, what a difference!

Really interested in DIY refurbs as I've just picked up a set of SRi wheels for winters, and surprise surprise they're all kerbed across the spokes. They were cheap though so I'm not complaining, and I'm looking forward to doing a good job of tidying them up come the springtime - just don't have the time to do them just now so I'm reading as many threads as possible on it!
