yes, the faults carry over as the signum is based on the vectra estate floorpan..But don't panic..most cars suffer no, or just minor faults..

Good thread
Cheers mate . was wondering what to look for before the warranty runs out next year .
Thanks again
The only fault i have had with mine is the little barstewards who have put a deep scratch on thr rear door & quater panel
Had a CD30 HU replaced under warranty because of a sticking bass button.
The only problem the garage had was deciding whether or not to do it under the Network Q warranty or the Year 2/3 warranty.
Apart from that the 1.8i Life is a dream. No EML Lights or spanners etc (touch wood)
My 2003 2.2 Vectra is having transmission problems, transmission gets stuck in 5th and 2nd ( auto/shiftronic). Mechanic says it is the transmission speed sensor. Anyone knows about this issue.
Your mechanic might be right (or wrong). Your transmission has basically done this http://www.vauxhall.co.uk/vaux/stati...a_OM_Feb07.pdf pages 188 and 189 of the manual but I can't help with the solution - sorry.
Good thread.
Poor cars lol
my 2006 1.9cdti had a rough running fault when i bought it and the car with a spanner in warning light was constatly on with ignition(cheap due to fault) tech 2 wouldnt pick up a fault code but there was one in there.. turbo boost presure loss.
turns out to be a small pin hole in one of the rubber pipes...
soaked them with soapy water and found bubbles.. car runs like a dream and i took it back and showed the dealer.... his face was a picture. i think he lost money on that because i paid cash too.
I've recently acquired an 08 Vectra C, 1.9 CDTi 150 (auto) so hopefully I'll escape some of this. I did notice dip wasn't great, wondered if it was my tired old eyes, replaced bulbs with xenon upgrade and fine now.
Unfortunately as I have mobility issues I do do a lot of short journeys, balanced by a long run around once a month. Not sure that'll be enough to keep the DPR happy, time will tell.
Will watch/listen out for some of the other faults, just in case!
