Common Faults.....

Hi all, this is my first post,anyway for those of you with this problem,and its out of warranty all i needed to do is spray the top rubber radiator mountings with WD40 takes a while to work in but now my car is silent.
its amazing how these dry rubber mounts can transmit so much creaking/knocking noises thru the body (this may have been posted on here before apologies if it has)...Mick P

Has anyone got the part number for the rad mounts or even how much they are?

I have a 54 plate I had the Front suspension spring snap ripped all the inside of tyre wall to bits they repaired and replaced the tyre no problem

Had it serviced then they called me back and replaced the Alternator to a bigger one
They said some 90amp Alternator where not stronger enough

Clutch wasn't returning to normal position after deperession

Dealer changed slave cylinder, Flywheel and clutch release bearing...no quibbles.

clutch now as it should be.

front offside spring snapped while the car was on the drive. dealer arranged collection after some moaning from me but i had to pay for it. they replaced the broken spring and also replaced the nearside one free for safety. the only thing that p****d me off was that there was a dent in the wing above the offside wheel that wasnt there before it went to the stealers but neither them or the recovery people would accept responsibility for it. they had the car for less than a day and they cleaned it.

Wiper linkage broke resulting in passenger wiper not working. Took it to the garage and it was fixed in one day after the dealer ordered up part from another garage the same day; promptly.

Ok a quick question.....I have a 52 reg Elite and their is a rattling comming from the rear, not sure if its boot lid or the pillar itself, is this still covered by warrenty, if not is it expensive to sort out?

Won't be covered under warranty as its 5 years old mate,not sure what it could be......: post up a thread in the troubleshooting section,sure someone will help........

Are these problems the same on the Signums.

yes, the faults carry over as the signum is based on the vectra estate floorpan..But don't panic..most cars suffer no, or just minor faults..
