    Default Wheels, wheels, wheels !!!!

I am thinking of buying a set of 18x7.5 BK166 in high power black. Just needing a bit of help.

    1. Anyone have these wheels on a Vec?
    2. Do you think they will suit a Star Silver Sri?
    3. Heard some issues about the paint finish, any info?
    4. Are Kingstar tyres any good, seen conflicting reports?
    5. Will a 215 tyre be okay on this wheel?

Sorry there's so many questions but I like to do my research before parting with my hard earned cash.

Yea I had these wheels for my saxo, have seen them on a star silver car ans they do look nice.. BUT............................. the paint is rubbish mate, mine started bubbling after 9months and bk wouldnt do anything about it, had two wheels re-sprayed then the other two wheels started doing the same! But they are really nice wheels and you can pick them up dirt cheap!

215's no use on a vec in 18's unless they are 45 profiles.

Normal size is 225/40/18 although 235/40/18 is nearer to the original 215/50/17

Thanks Caterman, but why is a 215 no use, surely as long as it is 40 profile it should'nt matter about the width as long as it fits on the wheel? the website lists the 215 tyre as an option for this size of wheels. I have the same brand at the moment and am quite happy with them just wondering if it would fill the width okay.

The profile is a precentage of the width - i.e. 40% of 215mm is 86mm, whereas the recommended 225/40 has a profile of 90mm.
