    Default vibration from wheels,steering wheel

Hope someone can give me some advise please. Received my new alloys today,18 inch inovites. The wheels came balanced and with tyres etc.Put the wheels on,looking great, took car for a quick spin all going well untill i hit 30mph then the steering wheel vibrates like mad,the faster i go the worse it gets Just need to know if this is just balancing probs and if i should get all four re-balanced even though the wheels came balanced.Just hoping thats all it is,the misses is not happy as it was me that persuaded her that i really did need these wheels

Well I upgraded to 17" and had a similar problem. Car is now spot on after having them balanced properly

(I had all 4 balanced BTW)

yep, there is balancing and thre is BALANCING and vectra's are very sensitive to having it done right.. so i'd go and get them done again.. but ask them to do it on 'fine' settings..

hi mate - i fitted some 19" inovits last night - when the bloke saw the original balacing he said its no right so re-did it - the had it balanced opposite each other meaning it would counter what its sposed to do - thats why your getting the vibration thro the wheel - as said already get them done "properly" and it'll all go away!!

    Thumbs up

    Thanks Guys

After reading this thread and thinking....... sounds like my balancing might be off, decided to investigate the garage given in the like by stevel.

Bathers in Birkenhead will brilliant. I said that I had read about them on this forum and they said that they have had at leat 3 others in this week, all with Vectra's saying the same thing!!

Must be good for business then eh - they are busier than ever at teh mo and joked that they would do a bad job on mine so not to give the impresion that they were good......

They are and @ 4 quid a corner for balancing a bargain to boot....... They said that the original balancing, done not 500 miles ago by Kwikflit was way out. They could understand if it was a consistant out on all four wheels, but every one was completly different!!

Yep I mentioned the forum too and how difficult it is to set up a Vectra. Brocks is going to be at this rate.
