    They're plcc4 smds, one leg is positive the rest are negative. They can be replaced with plcc2 or 0805 smds @fatfred, sorry mate I'll be at a MTB race

    ok one last q on the ipc 13 ring illumination has any one got the right smd part number as they are in some sort of holder faceing sidewas dont want to put the rong ones in and get light blees over on the neadle thanks

    Just use a normal plcc2 smd mate. You can either solder them on their side or solder them flat. I haven't noticed any difference either way

    ipc pic number 25 i cant do with 2 pin smd i keep shorting them out so iv order some HSMN-A100-P00J1 £1.99 for 10
