Default noise really annoying me now!

it sounds like the front brakes are slightly catching, as in "squeak squeak squeak" but it did it with the old brakes on, and now everythings been changed to the bigger setup i,m still getting this rubbing/squeaking noise, it only happens when everythings warmed up ie touched the brakes been round a few corners and over a few bumps, it cant be heard during normal driving with radio on and windows up. but get in an underground carpark or somewhere that throws sound back and you can hear it clearly
    any thoughts anyone?

I had a squeak on the o/s front and had the brake backplate straightened and not returned since. I seemed to notice it more with the wheel turned 10 degs right or left. Feint but certainly noticeable.

Hi, I remember years ago, I had a bit of play in a front wheel bearing and this caused the brakes to squeal a bit on load going round bends. But that was a car covering almost 200 000 miles so to be expected

did they assemble the brakes with copper grease on the pad to carrier mounting faces?.. if not they will do exactly what you are experiencing..

i asume the lad did a proper job, he usually does lol, the bit i cant get my head round is that it use to make the noise with the origanol vx faactory fitted brakes, i didnt ask about it on here as i knew i was changing them and thought this would cure it, coud it be the plate on the back rubbing as mentioned above ?

if it is he needs a slap.. it's so basic it's unreal, he should have checked anyway... i wonder if they have been assembled with grease as it sounds like they're ringing in the calipers..

as they rub they'll 'pick up' on the discs more as the friction heats the material..so instead of running close to the discs they start to drag on it, causing the pads to vibrate..the grease will help the pads back away from the discs and also dampen the vibrations out..

If it was the backplates it'd do it all the time..
