online car tax

i give up it just wont let me tax my car on the net keeps say details not known, and yet i have in front of me my renewl form with the reference number u need to input and all the car details. so why is it that the computor that sent my reminder cannot no my details.

looks like a trip to post office.

May be due to yesterday's budget and someone mentioned that the increases are to be backdated to 1st March, so web pages may be in process of being updated.

strange !?? i've just taxed both mine on line with no bother !! at least if you go to P.O you'll save a few quid ! you pay for the privillage of not using shanks pony !! LOL

nah not down to budget ive been trying all week since last friday.

I did mine on Sunday, and it came through the post yesterday - £190 (but no change on last year at least!).

I tried to tax mine onloine in febuary, but it would not work either, so I did it by phone that worked ok though.

Did mine an hour before the budget started and went through fine. No backdating. £135 for 12 months as shown on the renewal.
