    Default Tyres To Avoid Thread

Ok, had the Turanzas on the car when I bought it, did 26 on the fronts.

Replaced with Nexen/Roadstone 2000's 11k and there out, ok they were £55 each rather than £80 ish for an Avon etc.

i think 11k on a cheap tyre is outstanding

i put avons on and was told before the sale was completed that id do well to get 10k infact he said id be changing the tyres around 8k.

Had Avon's on a car in a previous life (Mondeo V6), Never again (Tyres, not car!). They must be made out of the strangest subject, wears like the clappers, grips like an oily eel.

I have found Falkens to be very good though, particularly the ZE502's. Wear rate more than acceptable for the price, the grip from them quite superb in all conditions. In fact as the F1's are on their way out on the back, I may get another pair of them and see what they're like on this car.

Really, that suprises me, I thought they were a good brand, never had them myself before, might splash for some Turanzas again this time and see how they go, but I remember getting the car at 17 k and there wasn';t a lot left on them then, but they ran to 26k and I was impressed, just need to find somewhere I wont need a mortgage for them now.

Kingstar K106. Worthless tyres, zero grip, so soft they get shredded by the tiniest bits of road dirt. Squishy sidewalls that make it impossible to navigate corners.

    Oddly, they're a Hankook brand.

fitted two avons to the front of my meriva @ £120.00 each for 225 40 17 and they lasted 7 1/2 months. suffered with uneven wearing on them and had no choice but to change them as even though tracking was spot on car would wonder all over the road...

    never again thanks...

Didn't this start out as a tyres to AVOID thread?

Pirelli P6000's - I had them as 225/45-17's on the Saab, fantastic grip in the dry, worse than bad in the wet. Avoid! there - back on topic
